We’ve waited all winter for this…the 12th Annual Summer Camp Guide! Our kids’ summers may be short this year but I’m sure we’ll all hear, “I’m bored” at least once this summer. Maybe twice. Per day. None of us want that. That’s why this issue is the best resource to beat summer boredom. There are 63 camps or programs included on pages 7-45 with their guide listings on pages 46-57. When you contact these business or enroll your kids for a program, please be sure to tell them you heard about them from Kid’s Directory.
Not only do we need to keep our kids active this summer but also safe. This may be the first summer you’ve needed to consider full time child care options. We understand how scary & overwhelming the decision can be & want to assure you there are some outstanding programs, ones you can trust to give quality care with lots of fun. Better Beginnings recommends you make a summer child care checklist with these questions in mind.
- Do the program’s activities address my child’s interests and abilities?
- Is the program licensed or accredited?
- Who will be working with my child?
- What is the ratio of staff to children/youth? Source: arbetterbeginnings.com
